Sushi: the fascinating combination of rice, seaweed and raw fish. For some reason everybody seems to love it (myself included)! There's something about the medley of flavours that makes this dish absolutely heavenly; and the fact that it is somewhat healthy probably adds to its appeal. In some ways sushi has become a trend in itself, and as a result, a plethora of sushi restaurants have started popping up all over Geneva. Finding the best ones can be tricky though as quality can vary similarly to its prices that can be soaring high or in fact reasonably cheap.
Upon entering the Sushi Shop in the lower part of Geneva’s old town you might think that it is purely a take away restaurant. It is one, however if you peer around the back there is a sit down restaurant to be enjoyed too. The interior of the restaurant is very modern while remaining quite simplistic and sleek simultaneously. You feel like you’re fine dining (which to some extent you are), in a more relaxed environment.
The food at the Sushi Shop definitely delivers. High quality sushi is served that tastes absolutely delectable. The menu offers a multitude of options, catering to vegetarians and probably vegans as well.
In terms of cost this definitely isn’t a cheap restaurant. It’s prices aren’t as outrageous as it is what would probably be expected to be payed at a restaurant in Geneva. Compared to other sushi restaurants it stands in the middle when it comes to pricing, however I think that the impeccable food definitely outweighs this con, and I would definitely recommend going.
