For most IIL-goers, the Coop just outside school is a lifesaver. With chocolate bars for 50c and Ice Tea for even less, its ideal for a hungry, tired student such as myself. But nothing beats a quick nip into Coop City (the big one in town) for a few spring rolls or a nice big slice of focaccia. Ok, maybe some things do. Lots of things do. But if I ever need a quick meal on a budget (which, lets be real, is always) then Coop City is my go-to. For 10CHF you can buy a chunk of focaccia, guaranteed to fill you up, plus a drink, and still have a few francs to spare! Sure - it may not taste as good as a BLT sandwich from Edwards or a box of sashimi from Wasabi - but its well worth it for the price & convenience.
The only downside is you can’t get that 50c chocolate. Or the cheap Ice Tea. Well, you can’t have everything I suppose.
