Everyone loves some good pancakes, and they're great fun to make with friends, family, or just for yourself ;)
Ingredients
- Dry
- 2 cups ap flour
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- pinch of salt
- Wet - 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 4 each eggs, yolks and white separated
- 150mL buttermilk (if you dont have butter milk, use milk and vinegar)
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- Optional - fresh blueberries
- fresh bananas
- maple syrup
Method
1.Sift all the flour, baking powder, and baking soda with a sieve into a bowl. No one wants lumpy pancakes
2.put the sugar in an other bowl (dont put the sugar with the flour, baking sod and powder)
3.melt the butter in a bowl. make sure not to burn it, if there are still some solid bits, let them melt in the bowl while it cools.
4.separate the egg whites from the egg yolk. put the egg whites in the large bowl and the egg yolks in a smaller bowl.
5.beat the egg whites until they are fluffy. they do not need to form peaks, whisk them until the majority looks fluffy
6.slowly pour the milk into the egg whites.
7.whisk the egg yolks and slowly add the sugar, then the cooled butter (if it’s too warm, it will cook the eggs)
8.Slowly add the yolk mixture to the egg white mixture
9.add the dry ingredients slowly into the wet mixture. make sure you dont mix too much or else they won’t rise in when cooked. the batter is allowed to have some clumps in it.
10.add a bit of oil to a pan and bake your pancakes!
